Case study - Brazil
WEL Corporation engaged us to help introduce their hosted communication services to the Brazilian market. The objective was to create a local brand presence that could expand their ongoing business in order to maximize the utilization of their communications capacity installed in Australia.
Our Brazilian subsidiary, SOMBRERO Brasil took on the challenge of bringing their service to market. The strategy included the creation of a mirror service website in Portuguese so that local customer could use their services seamlessly without feeling that they were using a foreign company for their services.
The WEL Brasil website was created, translating to Portuguese in detail the body and functionality of WEL Corp's existing website. In certain cases (Text-to-Speech) additional software in Portuguese was purchased and added to the Australian server to match the service capability of their English version. A relationship was established with a local SMS provider so that all the Brazilian cell phone operators would be included in the service offering.
User terms of use and anti-spam contracts were translated and modified as necessary to fit the needs of Brazilian laws and regulations.
WEL Brasil is now completely operable, and is the only solution in the market that is able to provide five outsourced communication services to Brazilian businesses. Also, WEL Brasil has the largest capacity for outbound faxing in the country.
